Hi, I am Asfeerah.
Most days, I am just a mother trying to find fifteen minutes of quiet. My life took a very unexpected turn recently, and I found myself navigating single motherhood and an empty house with a one year old looking up at me for answers.
I didn't have a financial safety net, but I had a laptop and a lot of words I needed to get out. Maybe this was the push I needed to fulfill my dream. However, I just didn't expect it to be this difficult.
Today, I am an independent author working on my debut release, The Silent Echo. Writing has become my survival mechanism. It is how I process the sudden silence in my home, and more importantly, it is how I am trying to keep a roof over our heads.
I am not looking for sympathy. I am just looking for a chance to tell my stories and provide for my son through my art.
